BJJ KIDS PROGRAMS

Help your child reach their full potential,. Help them gain confidence, discipline and self defense skills while having fun from a 5th degree black belt and World Champion.

Our BJJ Kids programs are structured in a way to help kids develop, gain invaluable life skills and get fit all while having fun.

As parents we strive to give our kids the outlet to exert their physical energy and curious minds while ensuring they are safe and gaining life skills they need to succeed.

The practice of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu does exactly that – it helps them improve their body awareness and coordination, it helps them gain discipline, focus and confidence, it improves their social skills and ability to interact with others, reduces their frustration and helps them control emotions all while giving them the skills to defend themselves physically should they find themselves in an unwanted situation.

Class Goals:

  • Teach respect and build self-confidence

  • Improve coordination and agility

  • Promote a healthy and active lifestyle from an early age

Class Structure:

  • Warm up and physical exercises

  • Teaching and implementing technique

  • Structured and supervised rolling

6 Reasons Kids Should Train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

1. Improve Body Awareness
& Coordination

While doing Jiu Jitsu kids needs to perform specific techniques that encourage their fine motor skills to develop and improve. Improving your child’s fine motor skills will increase their coordination and balance and not only help them improve on the mats, but also in other sports and everyday life.

3. Gain Confidence

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is particularly helpful for a kid’s confidence as it teaches them to methodically get out of comprising positions and gain control of a situation. Our classes focus on teaching kids the techniques they need to safely get out of compromising situations on the mats and off.

5. Reduce Frustration & Control Emotions

Kids can easily get frustrated when they don’t achieve their goals right away. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teaches them the art of persistence and discipline thus helping them to control their emotions both on and off the mats and all throughout their life.

2. Gain Discipline & Focus

We live in a highly stimulating world where kids are impacted the most. At Jiu Jitsu kids need to focus and pay attention to their instructor in class to ensure they get each detailed movement correct in order to have fun and be successful resulting in improved discipline and focus that can be carried with them throughout all parts of life.

4. Improve Social Skills & Interaction

At Brazilian Jiu Jitsu your kid(s) will meet many new friends that they can share experiences with. More importantly they will improve their ability to interact with other kids by communicating how they are feeling when doing live rolling and communicating their limits in a respectful way.

6. Learn Self Defense

Bullying at school can be a challenge for all kids. Unfortunately kids that get bullied are often those will low self-confidence and self-esteem. Not only does Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instill confidence in your kid, it also gives them the skills to physically defend themselves if they have to.
